Things Ain't What They Used To Be
With a new generation of recruits in this incredible Army Blues Jazz Ensemble, this CD showcases the talents of the bandÕs own composers and arrangers. The Army Blues is the premier jazz ensemble of The United States Army. The band was established in 1972 and is based in the Washington, D.C. area. In addition to paying tribute to the big bands of yesteryear, The Blues perform their own version of the latest and most innovative sounds of contemporary composers. Under the direction of Chief Warrant Officer Michael M. Walker, Sr., the band is also making a distinctive mark on the future of jazz by performing original compositions.
